THE WHITE HOUSE
The President today announced his intention to nominate three persons
to be Commissioners of the United States Parole Commission.
They are:
Curtis C. Crawford of Silver Spring, Maryland, who has been
serving as a Member of the Board of Parole since 1970. He
is an attorney.
Dorothy Parker of Arlington, Virginia, who is currently
Minority Counsel for the United States Senate Committee
on the Judiciary, Subcommittee on Refugees and Escapees.
She is an attorney.
Paula A. Tennant of Burlingame, California, who has been
serving as a member of the Board of Parole since 1970.
She is an attorney.
These are new positions created by P. L. 94-233 on March 15, 1975.
The Parole Commission is the successor body to the Board of Parole.
The new members will be appointed for six-year terms.
