NOTICE TO THE PRESS
The President today designated Samuel S. Johnson, of Redmond, Oregon,
to be the Federal Member representing the United States and the Chairman
of the Klamath River Compact Commission. He will succeed Stanley Lord
who has resigned.
Mr. Johnson has been President of the S.S. Johnson Company, an investment
company, since 1946.
Mr. Johnson will represent the United States interests in matters involving the
Klamath River Basin in Oregon and California.
