Dear Dr. President,
Thank you for your letter of 27th May
inviting me and my husband to pay a State Visit
to the United States from 7th to 11th July, 1976,
on the occasion of your country's Bicentennial
celebrations We were delighted to receive this
kind invitation which we gladly accept.
We look forward with pleasure to meeting
you and Mrs. Ford and, with happy memories of
previous visits to the United States, welcome the
opportunity to see more of your country and the
American people. I am confident that our visit
will help to strengthen the ties of friendship
between our two countries.
