B. T. Tomms Attomen mmo Ommsellor nt Aum, CLAYTON, New MEXICO. Clayton, New Mexico, April 12, 1905. Sir: I will try and see you personally while you are on the present trip, but, if I shall fail in this, then this letter is to inform you that I am an applicant for the position of Receiver of Public Monies, at Clayton, New Mexico. I was a member of Company E Rough Rider ₹ Regiment, and wounded in the abdomen at San Juan, July 1, 1898. I attended your inauguration thinking I would probably be able to see you then, but the time proved inopportune, and I was denied the pleas- ure; though, at that time, I filed my application for the above place with Mr . Loeb. My application is endorsed by Maj Brodie, Capts. Dame, Llewellyn, and others of the Regimental officers. Hoping you may consider my application with favor, I am, Very Respectfully. To The President: - Geo It Dietamore
