OCR Page 1 of 6Dear Bess and Harry- AS usual I've been
wanting to write for weeks - Time just goes
too fast. I hope you are feeling better,
Bess, and out of the hospital. Marian and
family were here last week. They arrived
on Sunday - Dick had to come to Denver on
business SO they all decided to tag along.
It was fun having them - I had wall to wall
grandchildren - they brought four sleeping
bags which we spread out on floor in liv-
ing room and dining room and with a pillow
under their heads they sleep. I haven't
enough pillows SO they each bring their
own. Marian and Dick sleep in Margo's
room and Cheryl shared my double bed. They
drove back to Grand Junction Thursday. I
was at work when they left - when I came
home for lunch my house was spotless - beds
had been changed, dishes washed, rugs swept
everything spic and span. The house sure
seems quiet and empty. David and Linda
arrive next Sunday evening from South
Dakota - will leave on Tuesday for Grand
Junction - spend the night with Marian and
start for L.A. on Wednesday. Affriend of
theirs and mines from New York has been
here - Liz Goodyear (about my age) - she
has friends in Colo. Springs she visits
every few years - spent a weekend with me -
The Jordans were in Boulder with Dottie and
family - Ginny and Paul drove to Denver
and we had lunch and a nice visit - SO
July has been a busy fun month. Margo is
fine - did I write you she is taking courses
toward her Masters. She has class twice a
week - Wayne University in Detroit has a
branch (I guess that's what you call it)
on the base. They have teachers - its not
a correspondence course. She's finished
eight hours and about to finish another
eight hours - has had lots of papers to do
and one of the classes is quite hard.
