John R. FRIANT 6648 - 32ND STREET, N. W. WASHINGTON 15, D.C. February 5, 1947 My dear Mrs. Truman, I offer my belated thanks for your most generous invitation to the dance at the White House Saturday evening, January 25, in honor of the Junior Aides. It was a real honor and a great pleasure for me to attend. As on previous visits to the White House, I had a genuine good time thanks to the will- ingness of the President, yourself and Margaret to participate in the fun, and to your collective ability at putting folks like myself at their ease. Please convey my best wishes to Margaret when next you correspond with her. All the young people with whom I share an acquaintance with Margaret bespeak nothing but praise for her personality, ability and downright pleasantness. We wish for her every success in her present undertaking. Mother joins me in conveying our sincere best wishes to you and the President for both success and happiness as the First Family in the land. Gratefully yours, John R.Fiant
