MEMORANDUM FOR MR. HASSETT:
With reference to your memorandum of October 10,
I am returning herewith the two messages from the
President of the Turkish Republic which the Turkish
Ambassador left with the President on October 9.
It is the Department's opinion that no acknowl-
edgment is necessary.
