MEMORANDUM FOR THE SECRETARY OF STATE: X alept
By direction of the President I am
sending you herewith a copy of the letter he
has addressed to Admiral William M. Fechteler
regarding his designation as one of the Supreme
Allied Commanders in the North Atlantic Treaty
Organization. The letter has been transmitted
to the Secretary of Defense for delivery at the
appropriate time.
