Dr. José Rafael Pocaterra called at noon today by
appointment to hand me a copy of the document accrediting
him as Ambassador of Venezuela on Official Mission to the
Government of the United States. I instructed Mr. Krieg
to take the necessary steps to arrange Dr. Pocaterra's
reception by the President, and Dr. Pocaterra withdrew
after an exchange of pleasantries.
