Item 1. Senate Appropriations Committee Reduction
of Point IV Funds
I discussed this point with the President, giving him
the information contained in Tab A. The President is
having some soundings made on the Hill. He would like
us and all other Departments to work with the White House
along lines which will be developed by Mr. Charles Murphy.
Mr. McFall will keep in touch with Mr. Murphy and let
me know what, if anything, I can do.
