The Yugoslav Ambagsador made a brief call today for the
purpose of handing to me his governent's formal request for
grant aid to meet the criele brought on by the drought. After
glancing at the note 1 said that we were already considering
their request on an urgent basis and would go right ahead.
The Ambessañor asked whether his experts ahould inmediately
get in touch with the appropriate Departmental officere for
technical discussione. I said that the Department would probably
be in a position to communicate with him further on it early
next week.
