Memorandum on the NSC Meeting - May 16, 1951
1. The paper on Far East policy with the amendments
proposed by the Senior Staff and the second amendment
proposed by the Joint Secretaries was approved. No question
was raised regarding the coordinating agency.
2. The paper on utilization of manpower was returned
to the Senior Staff.
3. In discussing the progress report on Iran, I raised
the question regarding which we are now having discussions
with the British. The position taken in Paragraph 6 of our
position paper for these conversations was unanimously
approved.
