SRCHET ARCHIVES NATIONAL SERVICS" RECORDS AND : 155 June 21, 1951 MEETING WITH THE PRESIDENT Item 1. Paris Talks Yesterday afternoon at Blair House I informed the President of the Russian reply which had just been re- ceived to our last note. The President discussed the matter with me and gave me his views then, in the light of which our instructions to Jessup were drafted. Today I reported that the instructions had gohe out and we hoped the reply would be made to the Russians today or at least tomorrow and that this reply might bring the Paris talks to a conclusion. The resident thoroughly approved of this action. D. A. DECLASSIFIED E. O. 11652, Sec. 3(E) and S(D) or (E) Dept. of State letter, 5-12-76 7973 Bg NLT- HC , NARS Date 6.25.26 S:DA:Dhm SECRET
