MEMORANDUM FOR THE FILES
Subject: Visit with the Secretary by the Egyptian Town Hall
Mission Tour - Tuesday, July 12
On Tuesday, July 12, at 2:30, Mr. Edward Barrett brought
a group of nine Egyptians who were touring the United States
under the auspices of the Town Hall to meet the Secretary. Full
details of this tour are outlined in Mr. Barrett's memorandum to
the Secretary dated July 6, 1951.
The Secretary expressed his pleasure on meeting the
group and discussed with them informally various aspects of
their tour. He also expressed appreciation for their interest in
making the tour and stressed the mutual value to their country
and our own to be gained through such activity.
