TOP SECRET
February 6, 1952
SECUAITY INFORMATION
The only other matter to report is that when
Item 6 - "The Progress Report on Security of Strategically
Important Industrial Areas in Foreign Countries" was noted,
Mr. Foster, for the Secretary of Defense, recommended that
the Department of State should reexamine the steps which are
being taken in regard to the protection of petroleum installations
in Indonesia, Mexico and Trinidad, and in regard to other
strategic materials in the Gold Coast and in Nigeria. He also
recommended that the Committee should look into the security
of other materials than those which had already been covered.
These suggestions were supported by Mr. Wilson and I
imagine that we will get notification to this effect through the
NSC staff.
