Dr. de Beus handed the Secretary the attached note. The Secretary
commented that he had not yet seen Mr. Draper but he knew where his
problems lay in connection with the subject of the note and would
endeavor to get in touch with Mr. Harriman before the latter left town
today. Dr. de Beus expressed his appreciation of the Secretary's
consideration of the matter.
