291 1035 November 3, 1952 MEMORANDUM OF TELEPHONE CONVERSATION Participants: Ambassador Woodward Mr. Acheson In two telephone conversations which the Secretary had on another subject with Ambassador Woodward, the question of the Secretary's visit to Ottawa came up. At the time of the second call, Ambassador Woodward said that he found that the Prime Minister is not planning to leave for London quite so soon as he had thought. He will probably be in Ottawa until the 24th or 25th of November; Parliament opens on the 20th. The Secretary said that Mr. Pearson was looking into the question of dates and would probably have some more specific information for him when he returned to New York. In the meantime, the Secretary asked Mr. Woodward to make some inquiries as to type of clothes he should bring with him if the visit comes off. Specifically, he inquired about morning coat.
