The Presi dent, after shaking hands with each person in the room,
made the statement attached.
After the statement by the President, the President, Mr. Sawyer,
and Mr. Murphy left the room and Dr. Steelman presided. Dr. Steelman
opened by requesting any general statement anyone cared to make.
Mr. Fairless suggested that a small group would be more satisfactory
for negotiating.
