INDEPENDENCE, MISSOURI
July 20, 1959
Dear Edgar:
You do not know how very much I appreciated your
letter of the 17th, and I am sorry that I could not be
with you for Monsignor Tiernan's appearance. He
came to see us the other afternoon and spoke of his
visit with you and the grand time he had at the Legion
meeting.
My condition was such that I had to be in bed by seven
o'clock that evening; otherwise I wouldn't have missed
it.
I hope that your injured foot is not as serious as the
Padre told me it was, but I am certainly glad it was
your foot and not your neck.
Sincerely yours,
Harry
.
