Many of our high schools are inadequate and
obsolete. Their failure is the more striking when you
consider that our educational system has produced high
schools unexcelled anywhere in the world. Unfortunately,
these are in the minority. Far too many continue to teach
subjects completely unrelated to anything our youngsters.
