Statement by Earl James McGrath* U. S. Commissioner of Education Federal Security Agency The Office of Education is glad to learn that college scholarships are being offered as grand prizes in the International Meet. Making a scholarship 'program a part of this popular activity shows sound long-range thinking. It should help to stimulate an interest in continuing their education among many of the young people who compete for these awards, and it' will materially help the winners to prepare themselves through further éducation for a fuller and more useful life.
