1. The 2nd Coloni al Corps will advance on the morning of 9th november, in the
goneral direction of the road Longuyon-Spincourt-Conflans The axis of liaison for
the corps will be the VERDUN-ETAIN road.
2. The north limit of the zone of advance of the 8lst Division will be genoza- 1-
ly parallel to the VERDUN-ETAD road exclusive. The south limit will be the lime
FRESNES exclusive. PARFONDRUPT inclusive.
3. The division will more in 2 zones, the troops in each preceeded by an ad-
vance guard.

4. The remaini ex of the Division will be held an Divisional Reserve.
5. The road CHATILLON - BLANZEE - MORAHVILLE - WARCO BUZANCOURT - LANLIERES -
MOUAVILLE is assigned to the left column; and the road FORT ROZELLIER -
MANHUELIES -VILLE en WOEVRE - - PARFONDRUPT nua 3T. JEAN LES BUZY - OLLY -
BONCOURT is assigned to the right t colum, but bo th advance guards will mar e on a -
broad front.
6. The line of separation between the zones of the two advance guards will be
RONVAUX -BRA-UIS - GUSSAINVILLE - DARMONT (all these villages pertaining to the
left column),
7. The left advance guard will maintain liaison with the 10th Colonial piv.
in the vicinity of the VERDUN -ETAIN road; and the right advamo e guard with the
33d. American Div. in the vicini ty of FRESNES. (NOTE: The line of advanse of the
33d Div. is not yet known.
8. Both advance guards will cross our advanced trench system at 8:00
the advance will be pushed with the greatest vigor.
9. l6lst Brig+, P. 0. will ba established near GHAPILLON,
162d Brig., P. 0. near BAUDIOMONT.
Each brige Hg. in moving forward will follow the vicini ty of the
road assigned to its column.
