Hump. and. Bn. 129th. F. A. 8th January 1919. 730 MEMORANDUM:- To Batteries D, E and F. The greatest attention will be paid to uniform equip- ment and clothing, also to fiting of harness and unifortity of adjustment of same. It is the outy of the Chiefsof Section and Chiefs of Platcon to carefully inspect to see that the abova is carried out. Unless seuse is covered by Regt's or Battalion order Battery Commandera will presoribe the unifoxa to be worm and will seoto it their ordera are strictly complied with. At all mounted und dismounted drills, except physical drillo, all officera end nen will eear belts and holsters. At mounted drills, except where the batterics are to remain out of canp all dAy, all halters will be renoved. When the holters are left on the animale as in oase the battery renains out of gaisp all day, all halber shanks will be left attached to the halters and will be tied, about the animals neck. When helmets are worn, the overseas aup will not be worn undernesth the helmet. When overcoats or rainceats are morn they will be kept completely buttoned and oxcept in rainey weather the collars will be kept turned down emoothly. shirt collors will be word either ineide the blouse or if worn outside, the shirt coller will be turned smoothly down over the collar of the blouse. striot attention will be paid to the wearing of the overseas gap, these are of several diferent styles, there ie one correct way for the wearing of each style, which will be adhered to in each instance. It is forbidien to pasa through the grave yard in going to or froa the gun park. Dotaile in going to or from the aun park, when eaid details consist of more then four men will be marched around by the road and will not out through the aud road or wood path to the gun park. Batterits in leaving the gun park mounted will do ao by the west entrance and will be marched at attention, for 500 meters, after getting onto the unin road. In leaving the gun park after unhitching, drivers must not trot their horses, the borses must be taken at a walk bsok to the stables. A most pernocious habit is that of allowing horses to trot, to recover distance lost in coluin. Unleas this distenos is considerable horees should be taught to walk out promptly, but not to trot.
