H rness, saddlos, blankets, nosebags, horse covers, grooming kits, and ell other horse equipment will be assigned a particular animal and never used on any other unless obsolutely required by the service, when the equipment will be thcroughly disinfected before such use. III. Unit Veterinarions Will be required to carefully inspect daily, or as often as possible, every animal of the command and isolate all suspects. The stables, equipment and animals expo sed to contaninati n will be at once disinfected with 5% creolin solution or a substitute and the stables whiteweshed. This dis- infecting process will be repeated weekly; on the seventh and twenty-first days disinfect, on the fourtcenth and wonty-cighth days disinfect and whitewash. IV. Bofore occupying stables for the first time they will be disinfected es directed in paragraph 3. Whore a change of station is involved the unit vetorinarian will be provided with sufficient transportati n to carry the necessary working party and matorial and pro ceod sufficiently in advance to the now stati n to select stables and properly clean and disinfect them bofore the arrival of the command. If the command should arrivo at its new station beforo the stables are prepared, animol: will be picketed thcthe open until the disinfecting process is completed. This applies to all stables, including these previously occupied by our onn troops. V. All animals will be clipped as soon as possible down to the elbow joint and stifle, only.
