The following tologrom from the Commanding Gonoral, S. O. S. ,
h.E.F. is published for the information and complience of all
concerned.
Reports will be prepared as directed thorein and a cony of seno
furnished these Hoodquartors whon ordors governing transfers will
be issued.

1731 G-l. Propare for subnission to the followin_ General at port
of enbarcation c report for each regiment or small separate unit
of your division sh win first, the camp or contonment within
the dreft area from which the hajority of the present perspnnal
of your organization was inducted into the service: second, the
camps or contonments within other draft aroas Irun which the pre-
sent personnel, not reported under one , was inducted in the ser-
vice. Number OI officers and mon pertaining to each camp if conton
ment to be :iven in each case. Instructions from the War Department
require that upon arrival in the United States each
will normelly be sent to that camp I cantonment in the United
States within the draft area from which creater part of the orgen-
ization entered the service. That part of the personnel inductod
into the service in area other thon that from which the majority
of the present personnel was inductod into the servico will be
transferred by you with complete recurds. Dri I to loaving Frence,
from their present compenies to casuals dotachnents whore destin-
ation upon arrival in the United States will be the comps or con-
tonement within the draft area from which they wore inducted into
the the service and will be carried as Infantry, Engineers, Artil-
lery, etc. etc., unassigned, and accompany their orgenizations as
detachments to the United States. Ecch dotachnont will inveriobly
be commanded by on officer, proferably from the same area, who will
be cherged with the custody of the rocords of the .soldiers of his
detachment and with the preparation and care of passenger lists.
No detachment of less than twenty five men will be formed. Men
from camps for which there is no detachment will romain with the
orgenizations or be roported and included in other detachnents as
may be necossory in ordor to send thom to camps no r the place of
their induction into the service for discharge. object; to decent-
rolize demobolation and to insure that practically all travel of
mon upon dischergo they bo away from port of enbarkation. Each
orgenization Commandor subnitted above roports will, in addition,
preparo and have ready to turn ovor to authorities at port of de-
barkation in the United States a rostor of their organizations to
