Commendation.

The following extract from the report of the Command-
ing Officer, 110th Mobile Ordnance Repair Shop, is quoted for your
information:
The matériel of Battery D, 129th Field Artillery,
was found to be in a most excellent condition;
The matériel of this battery was in superior condition to
that of any other battory of the two regiments, and evidenced the
fact that unusual care had been exercised by the commissioned and

enlisted personnel of this battery, resulting in the highest state

The above report is of a kind that the Commanding Gen-
eral of this Division expects, but too infrequently receives.

take great pleasure in commending you and the officers and enlisted
mon of your battery for this excellent showing which I consider a
standard for the other organizations of this Division to reach and
to hold.
