The following extract from the report of the Command- ing Officer, 110th Mobile Ordnance Repair Shop, is quoted for your information: The matériel of Battery D, 129th Field Artillery, was found to be in a most excellent condition; The matériel of this battery was in superior condition to that of any other battory of the two regiments, and evidenced the fact that unusual care had been exercised by the commissioned and ARCHIVES NATIONAL TROMIT RECORDS SERVICE AND enlisted personnel of this battery, resulting in the highest state GOVER a of efficiency in the care of its Ordnance Materiel." 2. The above report is of a kind that the Commanding Gen- eral of this Division expects, but too infrequently receives. I take great pleasure in commending you and the officers and enlisted mon of your battery for this excellent showing which I consider a standard for the other organizations of this Division to reach and to hold.
