ACTIVITY OF OUR OWN TROOPS.
Patrois - s/s TAVANNES. TWO patrols. One reports having been fired
en by machine gun from point T-81.64.
s/s DERAMEE. Two patrols. One patrol reached point U-20.20
where it was fired on bay enemy machine guns. An attempt was made to flank
machine gun position and captura machine gun, but owing to density of enemy wire,
movement was very difficult. The eneiny called for reenforcements, and our
patrol was forced to withdraw under fire. During the action, which lasted
one and one-half hours, one man irth zur patrel was killed and one wounded.

seme rifle grehades were fired at patrol. Ration carts were heard moving west
along road near point U-35.04.
