CORPS RIFLE MATCH.
The following is published for the information of thi S Command:
"HEADQUARTERS NINTH ARMY CORPS
American Expeditionary Forces

France, February 19, 1919.
From:
Commanding General, IXth Army Corps,
To:
Commanding General, 35th Division
Subject: Corps Rifle Match.
l. The Corps Commander extends his congratulations to the
Commanding General, 35th Division, and to the officials and members
of the rifle team on the decisive victory won on the occasion of
the Corps Rifle Match, held February 15, 1919, near APREMONT.
The scores as furnished by the statistical fficer are as
given below:
35th Division
88th Division
79th Division
7808
6627
6344
These scores show that the 35th Division won by a margin of
1181 points over the 88th Division and by a margin of 1464 points
over the 79th Division. It is noteworthy that of the three events
fired, twó at known distances and one a skirmish run at unknown
distances, the 35th Division showed a decided superiority over the
other divisions in the last event, indicating a high state of train-
ing for combat,
2. The Corps Commander takes pleasure in transmitting here-
with the sum of two hundred (200) francs, jointly donated by the
Corps Ordnance Officer and the Ordnance Officers of the competing
divisions for the purpose of purchasing a suitable trophy to the
winning team. I request that you take the necessary steps to provide
this trophy.

III.
CHLORINATION OF DRINKING WATER.
All water used by troops of this command for drinking pur-
poses will be either boiled or chlorinated. All uni ts without lister
bags will requisition on the Quartermaster for same immediately, tak-
ing these with them for use enroute for chlorination of drinking
water and after arrival in the new area.
