Affidavit of Lewis A. Wallace

Wallace, being duly sworn on oath, says that he is one of the grantors in the Deed of Trust recorded in Book 513, Page 123, records of Jackson County, Missouri, and that is the Deed of Trust mentioned in the Warranty Deed, instru- ment #236632, Book 506, Page 492, of said records. Said De ed of Trust being mentioned in that Deed by mistake of the scrivener and that the recital in the Deed of Trust, Book 490, Page that it , subject to a First Mortgage of $1736.00, held by Esther E. Wallace, is also a mistake of the scrivener, as the Deed of Trust in Book 490, Page 301, was a First Deed of Trust on the real estate therein described and the note described therein was afterwards assigned by W. Clark Martin to Esther E. Wallace, who is an aunt of this affiant. Affiant states that there is at this time no mortgages or Deeds of Trust on said real estate, either recorded or not of record.
