Dear Dr. Schoele:
Your letter of April 8 telling us about
the forthcoming Venereal Disease Campaign has been
read with considerable interest. You certainly are
giving the local health departments splendid
cooperation.
The special service to independent radio
stations through the Advertising Council is not yet
operating, and I doubt seriously that it can be
completed in time to help you by July 1. As an
alternative, and also to obtain prompt action, I
suggest that your Mr. Fish get in touch with Mr.
James Dawson of the National Association of Broad-
casters (DEcatur 9300) and see how local radio can
assist.
Meanwhile, we will discuss the problem with
the Advertising Council to see if some additional
help can be obtained.
Sincerely,
John T. Gibson
