At Jan 25 CG, matter of COCOM organization and budget was
briefly discussed in connection COCOM report to CG. COCOM
chairman and US del mentioned need strengthen individual
dels owing to heavy work load. US, FR and UK dels emphasized
govt shld recognize COCOM budget problem and needs of secretariat
by giving prompt and sympathetic consideration to any requests
for increased contributions. Resolution to that effect adopted.
US del noted proposed new watch list procedure wld significantly
enlarge work load, particularly of secretariat.
