BRENNAN (Australia) 1. In accordance with rule 152 of the rules of procedure of the General Assembly and with the letter of the President of the General Assembly to the Chairman of the Fifth Committee datod 2 December 1952, the Fifth Committee at its 368th meeting on 3 December 1952, considered the financial implications of the draft resolution proposed by the First Committee on the item "Korea: Reports of the United Nations Commission for the Unification and Rehabilitation of Korea" (A/2278). 2. The Fifth Committee had before it a statement by the Secretary-General on the financial implications of the proposed resolution A/C.5/525, together with the observations thereon of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Quostions as set forth in its 23rd report to the seventh session of the General Assembly (A/2279). 3. The Socretary-General indicated in his statemont that the draft resolution, if approved, may have financial implications in cannexion with: (a) The Repatriation Commission contomplated in paragraph 1 of the proposed resolution and in connexion with the supporting staff; (b) The umpire to be appointed by the Commission; (c) The bodies and agencies to work under the Repatriation Commission; (a) The disposition of prisoners of war whose future would not have been provided for at the end of 120 days after the armistice agreement has been signed. 52-11880
