It seems to me that we all gathered there the morning of the 14th, and started opening boxes and checking the, going into contamination(?), and all the other small bits and pieces which went into this were carefully inspected. And then there was a very LAMONT: This was all at the ranch? DR. SCHREIBER: This was all at the ranch. This went on sort of intermittently all day long, with various assemblies. Nobody knew exactly what we were worried about. We just knew that everything had to be done as perfectly as possible. NATIONAL LIBRARY ARCHIVES AND SERVICE LAMONT: This was on the 14th ? DR. SCHREIBER: Yes. So I would say that the interesting part as far as that particular aspect of the work, was essentially done earlier, 24 hours before the shot. LAMONT: How many of you were there working on this assembly in the ranch ? DR. SCHREIBER: Oh there were probably about eight people who were actively involved. Of course, we had lots of visitors and overseers. The place was well guarded by MP's and SO on. There were twenty -five or thirty people who were involved at one time or another.
