HARRY S. TRUMAN FEDERAL RESERVE BANK BUILDING KANSAS CITY 6, MISSOURI March 9, 1953 Dear Mr. Crosbie: Thanks very much for your letter of the twelfth. For your information, I do all of my writing with my right hand. I never did write with my left hand. I am naturally left-handed in most things and have become ambidestrous in everything I do but I can't write with my left hand. I appreciated the copy of the magazine on autographs and have read it with a lot of interest. I was particu- larly interested in the Columbus letter because I was in Washington when that event took place. In fact, I ap- pointed Dr. Evans as Librarian of Congress. You asked some questions about the proposed Library we expect to build southwest of Independence. It will be a branch of the Archives. It will contain the papers of my tour of duty as President along with a great many other historical documents of the period during my Ad- ministration. I hope eventually to start a Research and Cultural Center at this point. It looks now as though we are going to be successful and accomplish that purpose. Sincerely yours, as personal Jr. confidential. Please regard Mr. . George H. Crosbie, 210 West 72nd Street HSA New York 23, New York 4 1 -
