Asked for extensions of time on trade agreement with Austria.

Asked for opinion as to embargo on mail in event of rail strike.

This is my last meeting. Am happy with the position being taken
by the U. S. as described by Marshall.
Attacked Sir John Boyd-Orr, British member of Int. Food organiza-
tion
made in London yesterday. Described him as incompetent
and without ability to comprehend what has been done by U. S. in world
food relief.
