WEBB
Foreign ministers planned on finishing conference at Paris today -
but it is now planned to have another me eting on next Monday.
McCloy to take over govt of Germany on July 1st. U. K. France
and U. S. have reached agreement on McCloy's authority.
Palestine situation is touchy. Israeli may make another mili-
tary move against the Arabs.
JOHNSON
Says Webb suggested consolidation of attaches in foreign countries -
install a national defense attache in lieu of Army, Navyand Air. Agrees
this is sound.
DONALDSON
Says he now believes Congress will authorize some increases in
postal rates. He had not hoped for any.
CHAPMAN
There is some sign of encouragement in the strike in Hawaii. The
Governor has appointed Fact Finding Board. The Navy has been very coop-
erative in providing critical food transportation.
ATTY GEN
Thinks Bridges case will have an effect on Hawaii strike. Dept
says they have the evidence on Bridges this time.
SAWYER
Asked about re-organization plans.
