BILL BOYLE and JOHN SULLIVAN made talks to Cabinet urging support of
Jackson Day Dinner.
THE PRESIDENT
Commented on report on migratory labor which will create wide
discussion in California - New Mexico - Florida and Arizona where re-
port will not be looked on favorably. But the facts as they exist
are portrayed.
ACHESON
The meeting of the forign ministers of the Western Hemisphere has
been a great success.
CHAPMAN
There is great resistance on the Hill to shipment of wheat to India.
BRANNAN
Thinks there has been a softening of the resistance on the Hill.
There is some evidence of this.
WILSON
Import price on copper is 2 cents above domestic price. They are
now asking for 4 cents. The reason is that British are willing to pay
them any price. Thinks the time has come where we may have to subsidize
copper stockpile. In the long run this will save government money.
SAWYER
Economic group in Western Hemisphere session have done a wonderful job.
