Request following information: (1) Why did Map Room sent MR #44 to War for transmission to Sawyer instead of sending to State for delivery? (2) What did the War Depart- ment do with the message and why didn't it ever reach Sawyer through the Military Attache? Confidential note for the Map Room only: The Secretary of State has been casting aspersions on the Map Room's ability to handle dispatches.
