Dear Mr. Clancy:
Receipt is acknowledged of your letter
of May 6th requesting information as to whether any
action has been taken by the State Legislature to ratify
the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
A Bill to ratify this Amendment was
presented and defeated at the 1949 Session of the General
Assembly, and this measure was not brought before
the 1950 Session which adjourned the first part of March,
1950.
