Constitutional Law. ett orli The of In the Year One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty. gnibisesq RESOLUTIONS RATIFYING THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES RELATING TO THE TERMS OF OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT. 1 Whereas, The Eightieth Congress by both houses 2 passed the following proposed amendment to the Con- 3 stitution of the United States by a constitutional 4 majority of two thirds thereof, to wit, 5 'Joint Resolution proposing an amendment to the 6 Constitution of the United States relating to the 7 terms of office of the President. 8 "ARTICLE- 9 "SECTION 1. No person shall be elected to the 10 office of the President more than twice, and no person 11 who has held the office of President, or acted as Presi- 12 dent, for more than two years of a term to which 13 some other person was elected President shall be 14 elected to the office of the President more than once. 15 But this Article shall not apply to any person holding 16 the office of President when this Article was proposed 17 by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person
