Congressman Madden called
on Friday of last week. He said
that when he was in to see the President
in
on Thursday morning, the President
told him to ask Mr. Connelly for
a statement on the Palestine situation
which Mr. Connelly was supposed to
be preparing. Congressmen Eberharter,
Feighan and Karsten would also like
to have a copy of the statement.
Congressman Karsten said, when he called,
that he intended to use the statement
as a basis for answering questions
he had received re the Palestine
problem.
