Ltr of 10/31/45 to the President from the x6 Sec. of the Interior; re the refugees living at the Fort Ontario Emergency Refugee Shelter, suggests that pending completion of the proce- dures for determining their permanent status, they be allowed to leave under a program of "sponsored leave" and that the Shelter be x closed as soon as the refugees have left.
