Sir:
We, the undersigned, beg leave to call attention to the
alleged fact that the prosecution of Nazi war criminals is
being stopped by Secretary Royall, and that an effort 325 is be-

ing made to preserve certain German cartels.
The following quotation is taken from the Detroit
Free Press of April 23, 1948:
"Simultaneously, certain highly placed defense
chiefs have started a quiet drive to save both the fac-
tories and the personnel of I. G. Farben, the Krupps and
other big Nazi munitions-makers
"Gen. Lucius Clay, U. S. commander in Germany,

has had nothing to do with it. In fact, he refused to
sign one directive ordering the big munitions cartels ex-
empt from decartelization.
"Incidentally, it was also Wall street
