SECORDS SERVICE FAX Dear Mr. President: We are alarmed and frightened by certain events which recently took place in our capitol; namely, your "Loyalty Order" which casts doubt on the loyalty of thousands of faithful, hard-working people in government Service; and the unmitigated presumption of the "Thomas UneAmerican Committee", which is flouting our Bill of Rights by inquisitioning personal opinion and political beliefs of free American citizens. It Seems to us the effect, if not the purpose of these actions, has induced in the average American's mind fear and concern over expressing his true and honest thoughts, which is his birthright, guaranteed to him by the Constitution. We urge you to let your thoughts dwell on the hardships, suffering, and death at Valley Forge and elsewhere of another generation of men in a revolution against the proscription of their rights and freedom. It is their heritage which is our most precious possess- ion. We respectfully request that the "Loyalty Order" be revoked, and that you instruct the Administration
