to the President of the
407B
United States of america Steel Stulie
Dear Mr. President:
My
In this awful steel Strike, which is
such a terrific and alarming threat to the economy
and safety of our nation why was not the
Hartly law applied? as a law duly passed
by the Congress, it should not be ignored but
it has been said that the Union will not stand
for it ! That is surely no good moral reason
for not making use of its provisions!
I have often heard that the great body of
union workmen are not always with their top
leaders in the carrying out of a strike and
many are in fear if they do not follow the will
of their top leaders.
I am no lawyer, but a retired layman
and a natural form (September 1876) citizen of our
beloved america and l believe that the laws
pet up for emergencies such as the steel strike
