My dear Mr. Gordont
This is to acknowledge receipt of your
letter of November sixth. With reference to the
queries which you make concerning the President-
elect, I am enclosing a copy of the Constitution
of the United States and wish to direct your at-
tention to Article II Section 1, wherein it is
stated that the term of office of the President
shall be for four years. Further, Section 1 of
the twenty-second Amendment to the Constitution
provides, that no person shall be elected to the
office of the President more than twice.
