My dear Donna:
The letter which you, Marcia Comway and
Violet Keosky sent to the President has been received
and I am indeed sorry that we cannot do as you ask.
So many requests for statements on various subjects
are constantly coming to the President that it is
impossible for him to comply with them. I know that
each of you will understand and will accept, in the
President's behalf, best wishes for a Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year.
Very sincerely yours,
WILLIAM D. HASSETT
Secretary to the President
Donna Askwig,
619 First Street, East,
Roundup,
Montana.
