I
My dear Patricia:
Your recent letter has been received and I
regret that it is not possible to meet your wishes.
Because of the tremendous pressure upon the Presi-
dent's time he simply cannot respond to the many re-
quests for expressions on various subjects. I am
sure that you will understand.
Very sincerely yours,
WILLIAM D. HASSETT
Secretary to the President
S.
