My dear Miss Flower:
I am indeed sorry that we cannot do as
you ask in your letter to the President. He is
no busy with urgent official duties that it is
simply impossible for him to comply with the
many requests for his signature which are being
received. I know that you will understand.
Very sincerely yours,
MATTHEW J. CONNELLY
Secretary to the President
Miss Louise Flower,
426 Hillside Avenue,
Jenkintown,
Pennsylvania.
