Regarding:
Ltr. to Mr. Short refeiring to the Presidents conducted tour of the White
House when he mentioned that somo day before he retired, ho would like to have just two
plano concert. IBC would be willing to obtain two of the outstanding pianist of our
time, to give such a recital at the White House and would be very much interested
in obtaining permission, if such a plan vant through, to televise one-half hour of
the concert. Short ack. 5-29-52 (Dear done) Appreciates his offer. Will keep
it in mind but believes the President already has decided what be wants to do about the
concert. Doubts if White House protocol would permit televising such a function.
